Lyndsey and Stewart’s wedding was an absolute dream! It was small in numbers but mighty in beauty! I covered 3 hours and I wanted to share the highlights with you all. As we approach winter months shorter weddings become more popular. I love shooting locally as much as I love shooting more intimate gatherings.
I’m convinced that having great wedding photos doesn’t depend on how long your wedding lasts or where it is – it’s more about having a great photographer who can help you plan and make the most of the 2 or 3h you hire them for. This wedding is a perfect example of it.
The wedding started in an intimate ceremony at the Arnold Hill Registration Office with an extended circle of friends. The ceremony was filled with so much laughter, it was fun to be behind the camera to witness. I like when the ceremonies have more of a laid-back feel and seeing how happy Lyndsey and Stuart were to get married made me equally excited about photographing parts of the day for them.
After the ceremony we headed over outside for the confetti moment – it is always a highlight for me during weddings – it gets everyone involved and it’s always so much fun! Later we headed to Langar Hall, a hidden gem of a venue in Nottinghamshire, which was just perfect for their after-wedding meal.
I was in photography heaven at Langar Hall, capturing the beautiful light and atmosphere of the room before the dinner. The group shots and portraits around the venue and gardens turned out stunning. The speeches from Lyndsey’s son and Stuart were heartfelt and touching, making for a perfect end to their wedding day.
This wedding was a reminder that small is beautiful. It was such a relaxed and stress-free day, with plenty of time for amazing photography that will be a fab reminder for years to come.
