Pre-wedding shoot with El and Alex at Melbourne Hall and Gardens in Derbyshire

I recently had the pleasure of capturing Elenor and Alex on their pre-wedding shoot at Melbourne Hall and Gardens in Derbyshire. The sunny weather made it look oh so summery, and the gardens were full of beautiful backdrops. Lots of dappled light and blossoms added to the romantic atmosphere.

Elenour chose the location, and it was truly a hidden gem. The quiet and picturesque setting of Melbourne Hall Gardens was perfect for documenting El and Alex’s love story. It was great to meet them both and learn more about their journey together, as well as find out a few more details about the wedding and the dress!!

I wanted to keep the photos natural and relaxed, focusing on connection and how they are with each other – no cheesy poses, no forced smiles, just a naturally flowing fun afternoon….

Below are a few of my favorite shots from this pre-wedding shoot, I loved this session.I can’t wait to capture their wedding day and continue to document their special moments together.

It was lovely to hear back from El saying:

Magda thank you so much for these, you work fast! We love them all!!
It was so lovely to meet you, and you made the afternoon so easy and so fun.
We can’t wait to have you shoot our wedding. We know we’re in safe hands.

Pre-wedding shoots bring so many opportunities for couples to get more great pictures from that magic period which is engagement. It also allows us to get to know each other a bit and practice being in front of the camera before your wedding day. I’ve written a little blog about why these shoots are great ideas and you can read about it here
